I am stealing a page from one of my fav magazines, “The Week” (yes, I do still read the printed page!).
So I am categorizing this post: “Boring but Important”.
The President’s Cancer Panel (started under George W.Bush and now reporting to President Obama) recently released a report warning of a strong link between environmental toxins and cancer.
This echoes the findings of:
- Cornell University’s Program on Breast Cancer and Environmental Risk Factors,
- Dr. Ana M. Soto of Tufts Medical School
- The American Institute for Cancer Research
and other organizations and researchers whom I have reported on in past blog postings.
The panel finds research on the 80,000 chemicals created since WWII is woefully inadequate.
Although research done so far shows many links between toxins and disease, much research needs to be done.
This is one of the many reasons that in addition to traditional acupuncture I provide my clients a science-based detoxification program that safely removes environmental toxins, including heavy metals.
